
The Constitution of the United States of America is being taught in educational facilities from coast to coast. This is only because the article signed 223 years ago. This year, the government decided the courses were really essential to do. That is why, reported by Fox News, the federal government has funded the courses for the year. The law made from the late West Virginia Sen. Byrd has been in effect since 2004 making it so Sept 17 will always be recognized as “Constitution Day and Citizenship Day”.
Constitution Day and its roots
Those who took the steps to become American citizens were recognized on the third Sunday of May every year as “I Am an American Day” as a result of President Franklin Roosevelt and Congress in 1940. The date was moved to September 17 and renamed “Citizenship Day” by Congress in 1952. Employees of the government had to learn of the Constitution and educational facilities had to have Constitution depending education if receiving funds on September 17 as a result of the law Byrd passed in 2004.

University and federal locaters have numerous seminars from coast to coast. Speeches, panel discussions, interactive presentations, films and patriot parties are just a sampling of what curious Americans can enjoy on Constitution Day. Jon Stewart is publicizing his rally on the “Daily Show” with constitution day. The rally could be held in October. Expect 9/11 to be brought up frequently.
President Obama celebrates a whole Constitution Week
For the second time in his presidency, Barack Obama has kicked off Constitution Week (Sept. 17 through Sept. 23) with a call to acknowledge the rights we hold as citizens. ”I encourage federal, state, and local officials, as well as leaders of civic, social, and educational organizations, to conduct ceremonies and courses that recognize our Constitution and reaffirm our rights and obligations as citizens of this good Nation,” is what President Obama said throughout the conference.
